How Kirsty Jenkins Stole the Elephant by Ellen Caldecott ? review

'It was sad, it was funny and it was very exciting'

At the beginning of this story Kirsty's grandad dies and her dad won't come out of his room because he's sad. Kirsty's grandad had an allotment and she really wants to have it because she promised him to look after it. But Mr Thomas from the council won't let her take over the allotment because she is too young and she is not next on the waiting list. With her stepbrother and stepsister, Kirsty has in mind a brilliant, crazy plan to get Mr Thomas's attention and to finally get her dad out of his room.

I never wanted to stop reading this story ? I got really cross when I had to put it down to go to sleep! It was sad, it was funny and it was very exciting ? it was a bit of everything!
