Readers wonder whether it is responsible to quit work and go travelling, especially with their eight-year-old
Every week a Guardian Money reader submits a question, and it's up to you to help him or her out ? a selection of the best answers will appear in next Saturday's paper.
This week's question:
We're a frustrated couple in our early forties who want to quit our boring jobs, rent out the house, and hit the road. Our one child (eight) is up for a year out, and the far east and Oz appeal. We will work a bit, but it will wipe out our savings. Are we being irresponsible, or do we go for it?
What are your thoughts?
